In the evening, we tested two bird sites just south of Stintino, including Lake Stagno Casaraccio where there is a minor road to walk along the lake's western side. Bosa is a good starting point for attempts to discover it. Only about 3 km north of the city, just off the main road towards Alghero, is a mountain where it usually is and you can see them from the road. We were lucky when we in the morning was there to see them. After less than a minute came the first vulture up, it sailed majestically over the Sigiriya rock. Within just a few minutes then we could see a further six. An experiment we did on the evening side the day before the other hand, had been without results.
We continued toward the north-northeast and Monte Minerva, a 600 m high plateau mountains, where today's walk was planned. On the way there, we stopped for a coffee in the village Montresta, which was very beautifully situated on the edge of a wide valley.
